TabTrade - The Short Version
TabTrade went live in Q1 2026. Trading platform registered in Saint Lucia, under Saint Lucia's FSRA. The founder is Benjamin Boulter. Before this, he was a senior exec at BlackBull Markets, the FMA-regulated broker.
The BlackBull connection is relevant. It suggests the leadership knows how a proper broker operates. That is not a guarantee. It is preferable to a founder with no industry background.
They launched with Equinix LD4/LD5 connectivity. Same infrastructure banks and hedge funds use. Most new brokers leads with marketing and bonuses. Tab Trade went the other way. Unusual for a new broker.
What you can trade: FX, stock indices, metals, commodities, stock CFDs, cryptocurrencies, ETFs. 1,000+. For a broker that launched in March 2026, that range is not narrow.
The Software
Available: MetaTrader 5, cTrader, and a WebTrader. Both MT5 and cTrader from one account. Many commit to either MT5 or cTrader. Getting both matters. Use whichever you prefer.
MetaTrader 5 is the default. Full charting, EAs, huge user base. If you have traded on a MetaQuotes platform before, it is familiar territory.
cTrader by Spotware is the cleaner option. Cleaner order book. Faster charting. Built-in algo trading. Plenty of traders prefer it once they try it.
Direct FIX connectivity is offered for bots but needs the VIP tier ($25,000 deposit). TradingView is apparently on the roadmap. That would make the platform set when it lands.
Costs
Three levels: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard. Spreads from 1.0 pips. Commission-free. Easy to track. No minimum deposit. Works for beginners.
Edge. True raw pricing from 0.0 pips on average. Commission of $3.50 per side. What you actually pay: spread plus $7 per lot round-turn. On EUR/USD, the raw spread is often a fraction of a pip. Meaning your all-in cost can sit under half a pip. That is good for a broker with $0 to start. Most platforms that run raw pricing at this level want $500 or more to open. Tab Trade has no minimum.
VIP. $25,000 minimum. FIX API, sub-20ms execution, custom pricing. Not for most retail traders. Ignore this one unless you move real size.
Infrastructure
The execution is the area where Tab Trade actually does something different. Equinix LD4/LD5. Sub-30ms execution on Edge. Below 20ms on VIP. That is not marketing fluff. The average platform quote a much wider range.
Should you care? For short-term trading, yes. The difference between fast execution and sluggish execution is catching the move or missing it. If you swing trade, you probably will not feel it. The point is the infrastructure is there. That signals they are not cutting corners on the tech.
Combine that infrastructure with 0.0 pip spreads and $7 round-turn and the total package holds up. Not many platforms at this price point run Equinix connectivity.
Regulation
Now, the part that matters. TabTrade is under Saint Lucia's FSRA. That is outside tier-1 jurisdiction. No CySEC. No government-backed safety net. If operating without FCA or ASIC oversight makes you uncomfortable, look elsewhere. Plenty of FCA-regulated options out there.
But. Benjamin Boulter came from BlackBull Markets, a tier-1 regulated broker. The execution setup is not cheap. Scam brokers do not invest in proper execution infrastructure. That does not guarantee anything. But be part of your decision.
